The Wolf Mobile When the club was started, famed car collector, Steve Sandlin (owner of Inciner8tor and HRSS GTO turned Chevelle) heard of what we were doing with our auto club, and he wanted to be a part of the club. He donated a 1969 Camaro SS to our club to make our school race car. We are currently trying to round up parts and money to turn it into a quarter mile drag race car. We decided to do this because the students had a huge interest in drag racing, and wanted to learn how to build a car for drag racing. Steve has helped us a tremendous amount, and we are now looking for sponsors and other donors to help our project become a reality. Last June (June 2006), our auto club and car had an article written about what we are doing in Chevy High Performance magazine (Primedia publications). The article drummed up some interest from a handful of manufacturers, and we are looking to get more involved. As soon as we receive some sponsorship from local business and nation wide suppliers, we will begin the build and start racing.
New Parts Going On!!!
With the start of the new school year, we got some new parts to install and get this project going.
Mike and Pat came in over the end of the summer and installed our new B&M shifter that was donated by Finish Line Performance. FLP also donated a battery relocation kit, a line lock, and a set of Moroso valve covers. We will continue to put these parts on and hopefully more donations will come in so we can buy more parts and get this car to the track in the spring. Posted on 30 Aug 2007 by Mr. T
FLP Donates to OEHS Auto Club
Finish Line Performance raised $400 in raffle money for us at their open house on June 2nd and gave us the opportunity to buy discounted parts through them.
With this money we purchased the following: B&M Pro Ratchet Shifter B&M Launch Control Moroso Valve Covers Moroso Battery Switch Mr. Gasket Battery Relocation Kit FLP's help is greatly appreciated by our club, and will give the students in the club a great opportunity to learn how to begin building a race car. Thanks FLP!!! Posted on 15 Jun 2007 by Mr. T
Headers to go on Camaro before summer break!!!
On Friday afternoon we had a set of used headers donated to us. THey have been cleaned and prepped and ready to install. We will carefully remove the factory exhaust, box it and inventory it, and run with just open headers.
The headers will be installed on our last meeting of the school year (June 5th, 2007) Listen for us Posted on 26 May 2007 by Mr. T
